Since April 2017, Godwins School Primary is entitled to use the name of SPK (Satuan Pendidikan Kerjasama) because Godwins School Primary has changed the status from National plus to SPK. It is in line with the Permendikbud no. 31 tahun 2014. Godwins applied for the SPK status and it has been granted by the Minister of Education.
2001 Pada mulanya, Yayasan Sekolah Godwins di dirikan oleh sekelompok wali siswa, pendidik internasional, dan para anggota komunitas bisnis yang bertujuan untuk menyediakan kesempatan pembelajaran internasional bagi pendidikan usia dini di area Surabaya Timur. Pada saat itu dipilihlah The Little Skool House, pendidikan usia dini internasional yang berbasis di Singapura sebagai rekan
2002 The Little Skool House di dirikan pada bulan Oktober di Jl. Raya Tenggilis 46, Surabaya, dengan 40 peserta didik di kelas toddler, pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, dengan menawarkan program bilingual: bahasa Inggris dan bahasa Mandarin.
2004 Pada bulan Juli SD Godwins di buka untuk memenuhi kebutuhan peserta didik usia dini yang akan melanjutkan ke jenjang sekolah dasar. Gedung SD Godwins berlokasi tidak jauh dari gedung PAUD/TK Godwins. Di tahun 2007 telah di buka pendidikan dasar kelas 1 – 4.
2008 PAUD/TK The Little Skool House berganti nama menjadi Godwins Preschool, menawarkan kelas-kelas mulai dari kelas peserta didik bayi sampai taman kanak-kanak, yang berlokasi di Jl. Raya Tenggilis 46 Surabaya
2009 SD Godwins pindah ke gedung yang berlokasi di Jl. Raya Tenggilis 27-29, Surabaya. Gedung tersebut memiliki ruang olahraga, ruang-ruang kelas, ruang kesenian, dan perpustakaan yang telah siap untuk menyambut para peserta didik tahun ajaran 2009/2010.

Cambridge Primary, typically for 5-11 year olds, gives schools a curriculum framework to develop English, Mathematics, and Science skills, knowledge and understanding in younger learners. Cambridge Primary provides guidance for curriculum development and classroom teaching and learning. It enables teachers to assess children's learning as they progress with two optional assessments: Cambridge Primary Progression Tests and Cambridge Primary Checkpoint
Foundation for secondary education Cambridge Primary aids identification of a learner's strengths and weaknesses and can be used to support learning and development. It provides learners with excellent preparation so they can progress seamlessly into Cambridge Secondary 1 and beyond. External benchmark As an international programme, Cambridge Primary provides teachers with an external benchmark to inform their teaching and easily measure learners' progress over time.
